The 2023 Ford Focus is really a compact car manufactured by the Ford Motor Company

Practicality isn’t the Focus’s strong suit. We recommend stepping around either the SEL or Titanium trims, which may have the heightened system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen. The base setup uses a much smaller screen and offers far fewer connectivity features. While its cargo-carrying numbers are average, storage area for small items in the cabin is lacking. The optional touchscreen infotainment system—called Sync 3—is refreshingly user friendly, with well-organized menus and large on-screen buttons. In our testing, it fit four of our carry-on suitcases with the trunk seats being used and 15 carry-ons with the rear seats folded. Sync 3 is easy to use and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

The company was founded by Henry Ford in 1903. Ford’s early years were also distinguished by its introduction of the moving assembly line. It was the first to ever utilize this more cost-effective approach to production, and its innovation became a mainstay of the manufacturing process. Ford imagined developing a car for the masses, Ford 2023 and that’s precisely what he did, such as with the immortal Model T of 1908-’27. The latter was bought by 16.5 million Americans during its 20-year lifespan and was affordable enough for Ford’s own factory workers to purchase.

SE and SEL models no further come equipped with a driver’s-side seatback map pocket, and the single-disc CD player has been taken off S and SE models.  The remaining portion of the updates actually involve reducing equipment on S, SE, and SEL models. The SE EcoBoost Appearance package has become the SE Appearance package and is available on all SE models regardless of engine choice.

The model did well for protecting adults and reasonably well for protecting children in the trunk, but it lost marks because automatic emergency braking (AEB) wasn’t offered at the time of testing. Since then, AEB is becoming standard equipment with every Focus trim level. Together with that, Ford 2023 additionally you get lane-keeping assistance as standard. Euro NCAP gave the Focus a ranking of five stars when it had been tested for safety. It is a shame a driver alert monitor, traffic-sign recognition, automatic high beam, and adaptive cruise control aren’t included as standard as per the entry-level Life trim Golf, but you can include each one of these as part of the inexpensive Driver Assist pack. Blind-spot monitoring can be available as a standalone option.

At the least the controls are mostly straightforward and easy to use. The Focus went a long time with no interior overhaul, and its widespread use of plastic trim and the outdated-looking cabin is clearly weak points. Your pals and family won’t enjoy being stuffed into the little rear quarters of the Focus, as legroom for back-seat passengers is sorely lacking in contrast to nearly all of its rivals. Small windows don’t help alleviate the claustrophobic feel of the interior.

Being Midwesterners, we’d also find the Cold Weather package, which include heated front seats and a heated controls to produce frigid mornings less unpleasant. Deciding on the SEL gets you a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Focus can be obtained as a sedan and for added money as a hatchback.
